My impression of the Crucible exhibition was really good. A superb range of 76 sculptures from many British artists all set throughout the Cathedral building and grounds. In my opinion it couldn’t be a better place to display these artifacts. Some of the sculptures were a bit harsh and gruesome and others I loved. Damien Hirst’s ‘St. Bartholomew, Exquisite Pain’ is also very impressive… and powerful as well as David Mach’s huge and tormented Calvery.
